2015 Roter Gutedel Landwein "Jaspis Unterirdisch", Baden, Germany

Rusty red to orange. Deep, clearly vegetal, also mushroom, yeasty and a little wilted-floral scent with earthy, slightly tobacco, nutty and subdued yellow fruit aromas. Firm, very tart, cool fruit, lots of yeast, mushroomy, nutty, earthy and chalky tones, very fine acidity, a lot of crumbly tannins, floral nuances, white pepper, citrus zest in the background, certain depth, still very young, appears more powerful than with air it gains freshness, very firm, tart, cool finish with spicy tones, a lot of grip and a fine bite.
