2021 Sulzfeld Frühburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, smoky scent of ripe black and red berries with toasty aromas, some tobacco, herbs and a little soot. Firmly woven, tart dark fruit, again smoky and hints of sooty notes, herbal-vegetable tones and a little roasting, persistent on the palate, good substance, relatively fine, yet present tannin, good persistence, salt and chalky-mineral notes in the background, still undeveloped, a hint of coffee, very good, firm finish with bite.
