2015 Süd-Steiermark Ried Hochsteinriegl Sauvignon Blanc trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Tart, yeasty nose, still closed, light nutty notes, vegetal and herbaceous notes, some elderberry, touch of bay leaf and juniper, prominent mineral notes. Fairly firm, tart, juicy, ripe fruit on the palate, prominent yeasty notes, vegetal and herbaceous aromas, lively, elegant acidity, concentrated and persistent, ripe tannins provide elegant grip, herbs and spices, some juniper and elderberry, good depth, prominent salty mineral notes, reined-in power, nutty traces, good depth, very firm structure, still largely undeveloped, very good finish. Definitely needs time to mature.
