The Stamm winery is located in the municipality of Kitzeck-Fresing in the Austrian wine growing region of Southern Styria
. It has been family-owned since 1803 and is now in its seventh generation, managed by Gerhard and Maria Wohlmuth. The eldest son Gerhard jun. and his girlfriend Marion are also an integral part of the family business. Gerhard Wohlmuth jun. gained experience with vineyards in Italy, New Zealand and South Africa. The vineyards in Kitzeck-Fresing comprise 35 hectares of vineyards in the Altenberg, Edelschuh, Einöd, Gola, Sausaler Schlössl and Steinriegel areas. They are 75% planted with the white wine varieties Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Riesling, and 25% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch
, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. There is a consistent yield limitation with between 32 and 45 hl/ha depending on the variety. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or in barriques. Schilcher

In 2005, a further vineyard in Styria was acquired in the Steinbach vineyard near Gamlitz. The Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Gelber Muskateller varieties are cultivated on the slopes, which are up to 55% steep. Since 2003 the Wohlmuth family also owns vineyards in Neckenmarkt
in the DAC area of Central Burgenland
. These comprise around ten hectares in the two renowned vineyards Hochberg and Rabenkropf. The wines are fermented in Neckenmarkt and then brought to the Styrian estate for ageing. The labels are designed annually by artists. The winery is a member of the "Styrian Wine Cluster" association.
