2021 Westhofen Morstein Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep and complex, still completely undeveloped, somewhat reductive bouquet with yeasty, mushroomy and herbaceous vegetal aromas, restrained, noble yellow fruity tones, some tobacco and minerality. Very tightly knit, dense, noble fruit, very fine acidity and lots of grip from friable tannins, fine herbal spice, a hint of dark berries, persistent, deep and multi-layered, still barely developed, plenty of light minerality, elegant style, very fine phenolic tones, hints of ethereal notes, a little smoke, long finish with grip, minerality and cool juice.
