2012 Westhofen Morstein Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm, deep and spicy on the nose, tobacco, herbal and yeasty aromas, ripe, partly dried fruit and vegetal notes, floral traces, a hint of peat and malt as well as a lot of earthy minerality. Juicy, ripe, but closed-looking fruit in the mouth, yeasty and herbal aromas, enormous minerality, fine, lively acidity, a lot of grip and bite, looks rather cool, sustainable, deep, complex and beguiling, massive, but without any heaviness, still extreme young, compact, long, juicy, delicately spicy and intensely mineral finish. For the long haul.
