Delicately tobacco and smoky, somewhat woody aroma with tart black berry aromas and nutty tones. Dark fruit with slightly bitter wood spice, coffee and cocoa aromas, crumbly, sandy, youthful, still slightly drying tannin, good substance and persistence, juniper-ethereal hints, toasty tones, some salt in the background, good to very good, only slightly bitter again and also slightly drying finish.
Synonym (also Blauer Lemberger) for the grape variety Blaufränkisch; see there.
