The winery is located in the municipality of Randersacker (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The traditional family has been growing wine here without interruption since 1673. Today, the business is run by Bruno and Diana Arnold. The eponymous grandfather Wilhelm Arnold was a founding member of the Verband Fränkischer Weingüter und Selbstvermarkter (the forerunner of the Franconian VDP).
The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Marsberg, Pfülben, Sonnenstuhl and Teufelskeller (Randersacker), as well as Kapellenberg (Eibelstadt). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner (one third of the area), Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Riesling, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, Kerner, Rieslaner and Würzer, as well as the red wine varieties Domina, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch. The vineyards are cultivated in a near-natural, environmentally friendly manner. This includes cover crop with the promotion of biodiversity (variety of species) and a complete renunciation of synthetic fertilisers.
The wines are marketed according to the VDP classification model in the lines estate wines, local wines and single vineyards with Erste Lage and Grosse Lage. They are vinified in the old vaulted cellar with slow fermentation for specific varieties and sites. The white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks with long ageing on the fine lees. The red wines mature in oak barrels after mash fermentation. The company's premium wines are the dry "Grosse Gewächse“ "Randersacker Sonnenstuhl Silvaner" and "Randersacker Pfülben Riesling". Every year, 75,000 bottles of wine are produced. The winery is a member of the VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
