The winery is located in the municipality of Erlenbach am Main (Mainviereck area) in the heart of Churfranken in the German Franconian wine region. The former Erlenbach Municipal Winery became the property of the Wengerter family in 1999 and is managed by Rainer Wengerter, the plant manager. The affiliated restaurant "Winzerstube Wengerter" in the Röllfeld district offers culinary highlights with "Asparagus and Wine" in spring and "Geese and Wine" in autumn. The largest vintage car meeting on the Lower Main takes place here once a month during the summer months. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Hochberg (Erlenbach a. M.), Jesuitenberg and Schalk (Rück), Schlossberg (Klingenberg), Lützeltalerberg (Großwallstadt), Bischofsberg (Großheubach), as well as Deutschordensberg (Röllbach).
They are stocked with the white wine varieties Riesling,Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, Kerner and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red wine varietiesPinot Noir, Blauer Portugieser, Zweigelt, Blauburger, Dornfelder, Regent and Cabernet Mitos. A selective vintage in several passes guarantees ripe and healthy grapes. The processing takes place with gentle treatment of grapes and wines during cellar development. The red wines are mainly dry vinified. A Secco Blanc-de-Noir is also produced. About 70,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
