2021 Kanzem Altenberg Riesling Spätlese VDP.Grosse Lage, Alte Reben, Mosel, Germany

A little smoky-reductive, somewhat almondy and vegetal to ethereal-herbal pome and stone fruit scent with a hint of dark berries and dried mushrooms. Firm, sweet, almost candied citrus fruit with nuances reminiscent of eucalyptus, lively acidity, has grip and tension, good depth, persistent, hints of honey and red berries, a hint of smoke, salty and stony minerality, very good, firm, juicy, grippy finish with traction. Has class.
