2017 Kanzem Altenberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Mosel, Germany

Deep nose, still slightly reductive, very yeasty, some yellow spice, nutty, peppery and light herbaceous notes, ripe yellow fruit, earthy and mineral notes. Ripe, firm, juicy fruit on the palate, yeasty, vegetal, herbaceous and light floral notes, lively acidity, integrated tannins, more prominent earthy and mineral notes, compact structure, complex and persistent, good depth, still largely undeveloped, hint of dark berries, very good firm, gripping and juicy finish. Needs time to mature.
