2005 Kanzem Altenberg Riesling Auslese "Alte Reben", Erste Lage, Mosel, Germany

Deep, very mineral peach apricot fragrance with delicate dry herbs and spices and a touch of black berries. Concentrated, creamy-sweet fruit, very fine, fairly moderate acidity, tobacco spicy on the palate, again some dried herbs, some honey and a hint of caramel, great persistence and depth, mineral base, still very young, long finish. Should mature.
