2018 Carnuntum DAC Ried Braunsberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Relatively tart aroma of ripe, predominantly black berries with dried planty to tobacco and delicately mushroomy nuances. Tart, again rather dark fruit with slightly smoky, also dark wood notes, fine sandy, youthful tannin, good persistence has power, a trace of ash in the background, bacony nuances, very good, tart finish with a little dried herbs and noticeable tannic grip.
