Tart nose, blackberries and some cassis, violets, hint of licorice, peppery traces, smoky oak and herbaceous traces. Firmly structured, tart, juicy black fruit on the palate, fairly prominent tannins, light acid bite, slightly smoky, toasted, well integrated oak, full-bodied with noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool elements, vegetal, herbaceous and peppery notes, noticeable dark chocolate notes, quite complex, persistent, clear contours, very good, firm, juicy finish. Needs time to mature.
