2016 Furioso, Italy

Tart nose, partly preserved black berries, touch of licorice, floral and nutty traces, hint of pepper and herbaceous traces. Firm, tart, juicy dark fruit on the palate, light spicy oak, some cocoa, peppery and herbaceous traces, light smoky notes, hint of tobacco, some licorice, elegant acid bite, firm, fine, youthful tannins, still very young, some depth, full-bodied, but remains cool, sooty traces, hint of bacon, herbaceous traces and some tobacco on a very good, firm, tart, juicy finish. Needs time to mature.
