The winery is located in the municipality of Nierstein in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. It has been managed by Theo and Diana Gehring in the third generation since 1995. In 2001 the Aussiedlerhof of the winegrower Richard Ullrich was taken over and extended and renovated as a new business premises. Since 2015, an event pavilion for wedding couples, company and private celebrations as well as a wine tavern has been operated. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the Niersteiner single vineyards Bildstock, Findling, Heiligenbaum, Hipping, Ölberg, Pettenthal and Rosenberg. They are 85% planted with the white wine varieties Riesling,Pinot Gris, PinotBlanc, Chardonnay, Bacchus, Kerner and, as a special feature, Yellow Orleans, and 15% with the red wine varieties PinotNoir and Early Pinot Noir. Depending on the type of wine and location, the wines are aged in stainless steel or in large wooden barrels. They are marketed in the lines estate wines, local wines and site wines. The high-quality wines, which can be stored for a long time, carry a white label with spear and ring with symbolized vine buds. Ice wines are also pressed in years with suitable weather conditions. Bottle-fermented sparkling wine, grape juice and verjus are also produced. The winery is a member of the associations Wein vom Roten Hang, Pro Riesling, Rheinhessen Wein, Vinissima and Sommelier-Union Deutschland.
