2021 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Zieregg Kar Sauvignon Blanc Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Astonishingly cool, emphatically tart-vegetable to herbaceous citrus nose with plenty of light minerality, white berry notes, green pepper, mussels and floral traces. Dense, juicy and surprisingly cool on the palate despite plenty of power, green-vegetable, herbaceous and very light black berry notes, a hint of floral, lively acidity, some grip from crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, intensely mineral and slightly smoky, a little chalky tones and nut flour, then herbal strings and oyster water, good depth, melting, very good to long, juicy and finely spicy finish with red berry nuances and lots of minerality.
