2019 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Very firm and deep, tart, complex, clearly herbal-spicy and still somewhat smoky-reductive aroma with aromas of ripe citrus fruits and also a little exotic fruit aromas, nutty hints, floral nuances, a hint of elderberry and clear minerality. Concentrated, again tart fruit, present, fine acidity and a lot of grip of ripe tannin, yeasty nuances, nutty tones, pepper and herbal spice, dense, deep and persistent on the palate, tremendously firm structure, as if chiselled from one piece, still completely undeveloped, some warmth, peppery and blackberry hints, very complex, has power, very good to long, firm, juicy and spicy finish with minerality and nutty and tobacco hints. Needs time.
