2006 Süd-Steiermark Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Deep nose, elegant spicy notes and fresh herbs, some grass, pears, gooseberries and elderberries, hint of melon andsome mineral traces. Concentrated on the palate, sweetish and creamy, juicy, extremely ripe fruit, loads of pears and gooseberries, herbaceous notes, delicate spicy oak, very full-bodied and creamy, cool, elegant, tart mineral notes in the background, very deep, not yet developed, harmonious, very long finish, needs time to develop.
