2018 Bürgstadt Hunsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm and quite deep, astringent, somewhat dried vegetable to tobacco and earthy fragrance of red and a little black berries with dried vegetal and mushroom nuances and a hint of liquorice and juniper. Tart, still slightly covered fruit with earthy, dried-vegetable and earthy notes, fine dusty tannin, quite clear minerality, good persistence, toasty traces, some pepper, still young, certain depth, gains precision and juice with air, very good, firm finish with grip. Needs time
