The winery is located in the municipality of Leiwen (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle
wine region. Since 2000, the estate has been managed by Klaus and Annegret Schweicher. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Apotheke
(Trittenheim), Klostergarten and Laurentiuslay
(Leiwen), as well as Ohligsberg
(Wintrich). They are planted with 90% Riesling, the rest with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. They are cultivated in a natural, environmentally friendly way. Quality criteria are small berries, low yields, longer grape ripening, selected harvest and slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc are aged in barriques. Noble sweet wines and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
