Clear, youthful, quite firm, rather tart aroma of predominantly black berries with tobacco and peppery aromas, a little cherry and a hint of tar. Tight, cool, again very youthful fruit with present, fine tannins and noticeable acid bite, dried-vegetable to tobacco and peppery flavours, chalk and salt in the background, good persistence, still undeveloped, very good, tart, tight finish, again with bite. Quite amazing base wine.
