The traditional winery is located in the municipality of Oberstinkenbrunn south of Retz in the Lower Austrian wine growing region Weinviertel. It was founded in 1849 and is now managed in the fifth family generation by Josef and Christ and in the sixth by Hannes, Stefan and Lisa Seifried. The vineyards comprise 13 hectares of vines in the Altenberg and Lange Heide vineyards, for example. They are planted to 80% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (leading variety), Riesling, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, and 20% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt and St. Laurent.

The cultivation is carried out according to KIP methods with, for example, nutrient supply of the vines by planting clover between the rows. The grape harvest is done by hand at full physiological ripeness with several passes if necessary. After gentle pressing, white wines are matured in stainless steel tanks under temperature-controlled fermentation, red wines in large wooden barrels and in barriques. Strong wines and site wines are stored on the for a long time. Fine brandies and liqueurs are also produced.
