2021 Leimen Herrenberg Grauburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Oberklam", Baden, Germany

Tart, somewhat nutty and lightly woody pome fruit scent with tobacco, mushroom and slightly bacony notes, a hint of brown bread and seaweed. Ripe, somewhat warm, melting, almost a touch sweetish fruit, smoky and tobacco wood aromas, nut butter on the palate, quite lively acidity and grip of ripe tannin, persistent and powerful, rather broad-shouldered type but with quite a firm backbone, a little yellow spice, ethereal notes, red berries and dates in the background, very good, warm, alcoholic and sweetly juicy finish.
