2020 Leimen Herrenberg Blauer Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken "Oberklam RR", Baden, Germany

Quite firm, slightly dried-floral, peppery, mushroomy, nutty and smoky-roasty aroma of partly preserved mixed berries and a little cherries with slightly ethereal-herbal aromas as well as a hint of anchovies and black olives. Ripe, melting, partly preserved fruit, a lot of smoky and bitter-chocolatey wood, also coffee and some allspice, ethereal spice in the background, reminiscent of juniper, some bite, present, slightly sandy tannin, a lot of power, good persistence, a hint of eucalyptus, with a lot of air the fruit asserts itself better, salty minerality, also in the finish a lot of chocolatey, smoky-roasty and coffee-spicy wood next to warm fruit.
