2014 Leimen Herrenberg Spätburgunder trocken Grosses Gewächs, Spermen "R", Baden, Germany

Polished nose, ripe red berries, cherries and blueberries, hint of bacon, light earthy and dried vegetal notes, light peppery spice, hint of dried meat, touch of cocoa, light mineral notes inthe background. Firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, slightly smoky, spicy oak, earthy and fairly prominent salty mineral notes, some more black pepper, hint of dried herbs. egg white, hint of mint, persistent and concentrated, gripping, slightly astringent tannins, has some depth, mote light spicy oak and prominent mineral notes on a slightly juicy, very good finish.
