2022 Laufen Klosterwingerte Pinot Noir VDP.Grosses Gewächs, Baden, Germany

Very light ashy and earthy scent of predominantly dark berries with a hint of tree bark, good tobacco, and bread crust. Firmly structured, rather cool, herb-juicy fruit, tight, quite fine tannin, and a certain acidity bite, lasting on the palate, slightly nutty and very delicately smoky, fine dark spice, salt in the background, some depth, very good, tight finish with bitter dark juice and bite.
