2016 Riesling Auslese, Rheingau, Germany

Slightly developed, somewhat nutty, mushroomy and dried planty to herbal scent of partly candied citrus fruits with a hint of stone fruit as well as slightly charcoal-like aromas. Ripe, dense, very sweet fruit with noticeable melting, but also a certain tension, hints of cream and honey, fine acidity, delicate grip, lasting, a touch of verbena and dark berries, chalky and earthy tones, very good finish with very delicate bitterness.
