2017 Spätburgunder Landwein trocken, Mosel, Germany

Clear, quite cool, a little dried-vegetable and hinted smoky nose of predominantly red berries with delicate earthy and mushroomy hints. A little nutty-woody and smoky also in the mouth, clear fruit with dried-vegetable to herbaceous, a little mushroomy and bacon nuances, some vanilla, good persistence, relatively fine, still youthful tannin, fine, tart spice, good to very good finish. A lot of wine for the money
