2023 Bockenau Riesling VDP.Ortswein feinherb "Schiefergestein", Nahe, Germany

A little smoky-reductive, firmly woven, somewhat nutty and vegetal to ethereal-herbaceous scent of partly candied yellow fruits with a hint of mixed berries, as well as nuances reminiscent of algae, bamboo shoots, and seashells. Polished, juicy, firm citrus fruit with moderate sweetness, a touch of black currants, and hints of Thai mint, lively acidity, has a grip of ripe tannins, good sustainability, distinct minerality, certain depth, very good, cool finish with bitter herbal aromas.
