2016 Bockenau Felseneck Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Nose still reductive, firm, deep and complex, light yellow fruit, fresh vegetal and floral notes, herbs, cassis, anise, hint of bacon, intense mineral notes. Firm, lively, fairly juicy firm fruit on the palate, yeasty and floral notes, some sugar candy, fresh vegetal notes with a touch of bell peppers, curry and dried coriander, some elderberry, persistent, some grip and firm bite, very elegant acidity, smoky traces, bacon and grapefruit in the background, excellent depth, still totally undeveloped, hint of yeasty extract, herbaceous notes, very good long, smoky, juicy, grippy finish. Needs a long time to mature.
