The winery is located in the community of Laubenheim in the German Nahe
wine region. It was founded in the 1960s by Rudolf Montigny. Since 1994 it has been managed by his son Sacha Montigny. The vineyards cover six hectares of vineyards in the Karthäuser
(Laubenheim) area. They are planted with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, Portugieser, St. Laurent, Dunkelfelder and Frühburgunder, as well as the white wine varieties Riesling, Grauburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, Weißburgunder and Kerner. The white wines are fermented cool in stainless steel. After the mash fermentation, the red wines are aged partly in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines (from Riesling), semi-sparkling wines and yeast brandies are also produced.
