2020 Bürgstadt Hundsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm and deep, rather cool, fine-vegetable and delicately mushroomy scent of ripe red and black berries with tobacco and juniper aromas, red pepper, a hint of bread crust and your mushroomy nuances. Ripe, firm, tangy fruit, spicy bread crust, dried herbs and hints of dark ethereal spice, crumbly tannin and fine bite, dense and persistent on the palate, some aromatic smoke, persistent on the palate, deep and complex, a hint of coffee and dark chocolate, distinctly salty mineral tones, herbal seedlings in the background, very good to long, tangy and spicy, again slightly ethereal finish with grip.
