2018 Klingenberg Schloßberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat toasty and smoky, slightly tobacco and herbal fragrance of black and red berries with a touch of cherries, floral nuances and certain minerality. Clear, ripe, more red than black fruit, a little toasty wood with coffee and cocoa aromas, crumbly-sandy tannin, certain strength, persistent on the palate, some meltwood and warmth, candied nutty tones, a hint of smoke, clear minerality, very good, juicy, again a little toasty finish with dried herbal notes and tones reminiscent of morels
