2016 Bürgstadt Berg Spätburgunder trocken VDP.Erste Lage, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Clear nose, light peppery spice, hint of tobacco, red and a few black berries, whiff of cherries, touch of dried flowers, dark mineral notes. Clear, firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, nutty oak, light herbs and spices, primarily sage, peppery traces, fine sandy, ripe tannins, light bite, persistent, firm grip, still young, polished, concentrated and deep, hint of mushrooms, very good firm, juicy, spicy finish.
