2015 Bürgstadt Frühburgunder trocken "R", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Deep, fairly tart, complex nose, red berries and cassis, dried herbs and smoky notes, some pepper, tar, tobacco, cinnamon and mineral notes. Ripe, partly preserved, fairly firm juicy fruit on the palate, noticeable toasted, spicy oak, some cinnamon, candied nuts, smoked bacon, some more tar, sugar candy, persistent, vanilla, spicy notes in the background, particularly pepper, light salty notes, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, sweetish and creamy, gains structure and complexity with aeration, preserved fruit on a very good expressive spicy, smoky, vibrant finish
