The winery is located in the municipality of Weyher (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine region of the Palatinate
. The family has been involved in winegrowing for many generations, today the business is run by Rudi and Michael Möwes. The vineyards cover 8.5 hectares in the areas of Altenforst (Burrweiler), Michelsberg (Weyher), Letten (Hainfeld), Rosengarten (Edesheim), as well as Rosengarten and Schlossberg
(Rhodt). They are 65% planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, Scheurebe, Bacchus, Rieslaner and Gelber Muskateller, and 35% with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Portugieser and Dornfelder. The white wines are aged slowly and restrained in stainless steel tanks, the red wines after mash fermentation in classic large wooden barrels and also in barriques. In suitable years also an ice wine is pressed. Fine spirits (wine, grape, yeast) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
