The winery is located in the community of Spitz-Radlbach in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Wachau. The house with the vaulted cellar was already mentioned in a document in 1638. The winery is run in the second family generation by Rupert and Roman Gritsch, the adjoining guest room and the Heurige by Erika Gritsch. The vineyards comprise seven hectares of vines on partly terraced steep slopes in the areas of Gasselreith, Setzberg and Tausendeimerberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling,Pinot Blanc, Muskateller and Neuburger as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. The vineyard is cultivated close to nature, for example with green manure. Through selective manual harvesting only physiologically ripe and healthy grapes are processed. The wines are matured in stainless steel tanks in an aromatic manner typical of the region. Among the premium wines are various Grüner Veltliner and Rieslings according to the guidelines of the Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus winegrowers' association. A Frizzante is also produced.
