2020 Riesling trocken "Monte Vacano", Rheingau, Germany

Almost cool, deep, complex and noble, herbal nose with calm stone fruit, apple and citrus aromas as well as a hint of mushrooms, floral nuances, long pepper, parsley, coriander and minerality. Very tightly knit, quite juicy, again rather cool, dry fruit, clearly planty and a little herbaceous tones, relatively present, yet fine acidity, relatively clear, yet perfectly integrated, friable tannin, dense and persistent on the palate, very firm core, intense minerality, almost a little peppery spice, also smoky and nutty traces, very delicate wood barrel notes, hints of dark berries in the background, has enormous substance but still a certain lightness of foot, deep foundation, minty hints, long, firm, tart and again immensely mineral finish with tension, pull and persistence. Great.
