2019 Rüdesheim Drachenstein Spätburgunder trocken "Zenit", Rheingau, Germany

Relatively cool, tart, somewhat herbal nose, slightly reminiscent of celery and sautéed leeks with more black than red berry aromas, hints of herbs, tobacco and a touch of mushrooms. Firm and tart in the mouth, relatively dark fruit with a little dried root vegetables and smoky and tobacco wood notes, fine sandy tannin, some acid bite, lots of salt in the background, mushroomy and delicately floral nuances, very good, firm, tart-juicy finish with lots of bite and slightly toasty wood notes.
