Still somewhat reductive, very slightly vegetal and animal nose of predominantly dark berries and cherries with peppery notes and dried herbal to tobacco nuances. Quite firm, tart, rather dark fruit, slightly smoky and nutty aromas, a trace of soot, crumbly, sandy, youthful tannins, some persistence, chalky and spicy tones, good to very good, tart-juicy finish with grip. Needs to mature a little more.
Synonym (also Blauer Lemberger) for the grape variety Blaufränkisch; see there.
