2018 Bingen Spätburgunder VDP.Ortswein, Rheinhessen, Germany

Tart and firm, slightly dried-vegetable scent of more red than black berries and a little cherry with a hint of beetroot. Clear, rather juicy, ripe, quite polished fruit, slightly sweet wood spice, fine, youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, has power, melting and some warmth, good substance, herbaceous-vegetable and peppery nuances in the background, a little smoke, very good, juicy and spicy finish
