The winery is located in the community of Weißenkirchen in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Wachau. It was founded in 1937. A Heuriger is attached. There is also a holiday flat for rent. The estate is managed by Alois and Lissy Pomaßl. The vineyards comprise six hectares of vineyards in the Buschenberg, Frauengärten, Kaiserberg and Lichtensteinerin vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Neuburger and Müller-Thurgau, as well as Zweigelt. The cultivation of the terraced vineyards, some of which are extremely steep, can for the most part only be done manually. The vines are up to 60 years old, and for new plantations, vine material from our own old vineyards is used. The wines are matured in stainless steel tanks in a dry and fruity way. Among the premium wines of the house are Riesling Smaragd Ried Kaiserberg and Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Ried Kaiserberg. Fine brandies, grape juice and Frizzante are also produced. The winery is a member of Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus.
