2019 trocken "Pentagon", Burgenland, Austria

Firm, very dark, concentrated aroma of ripe black berries and a little cherry with nutty, peppery, floral with moderate wood aromas and hints of meaty and dried mushroom tones. Ripe black fruit, partly seeming preserved, lots of toasty and bitter-chocolatey wood, some coffee, fine sandy tannin, a hint of mint, mineral hints, quite concentrated, good depth, very good, dense finish dominated again first by the chocolatey wood with grip, pepper and ethereal notes, in which the air in the air but more and more asserts itself.
