2019 trocken Cuvée "Hexenberg", Burgenland, Austria

Clear, firm aroma of ripe black berries with peppery and tobacco nuances, nutty wood and a little toastiness. Tart, ripe dark fruit with nutty and bitter-chocolate flavours, predominantly friable, yet also slightly drying tannin and coffee tones, powerful and somewhat warm on the palate, good persistence, very good, melting, moderately peppery finish with very ripe dark fruit, tobacco and again chocolaty, also smoky wood.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
