The winery, with its headquarters in the municipality of Deutschkreutz, is located in the Austrian DAC area of Mittelburgenland. The traditional family has been involved in viticulture and agriculture since the 19th century. The business is managed by Gerhard Pfneisl. The company motto is "BORN 2 MAKE WINE". The vineyards cover 23 hectares of vineyard area. The majority is planted at the headquarters in Deutschkreutz or its "old wine mountains", 90% of which are red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz(Syrah), and 10% of the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.
The land purchased from the Kleinmutschen community was reactivated in 1999 by the Pnfeisl brothers, known as "Shiraz Brothes". In 2006, the "Cult Winery" on the Hexenberg estate with its award-winning architecture was put into operation here. The sustainable management is carried out according to the rules of controlled, integrated production(KIP). Since the 2015 vintage, the farm has been certified with the seal of sustainability Austria of the Austrian Winegrowers' Association.
Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in stainless steel tanks, in large wooden barrels or in . The flagship is the red wine cuvée "Pentagon", which takes its name from the five varieties of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Shiraz. It is aged in 100% new French barriques and can be stored for decades. The red wine cuvée "Hexenberg" (Merlot, Shiraz) also belongs to the premium wines. In addition to other red and white wines, a histamine-free Zweigelt, a rosé sparkling wine and the wines of the new generation are produced under the brand "OFFSPRING by Pfneisl".
