Smoky and toasty nose of ripe mixed berries with a hint of cherries, some herbs, pepper and dried mushrooms. Tight, tangy, quite fresh fruit with acid bite and clear, clove-spicy wood flavours, fine sandy tannin, persistent on the palate, medium power, chocolatey nuances, salt in the background, also a little peppery-etheric tones, very good, tight, smoky, still a little drying finish, again with a lot of bite.

Best to drink: 2024-2027+. What our ratings mean
