2018 Oestrich Lenchen Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Firm, deep and compact, quite cool, fresh, clearly herbal citrus-stone fruit scent with floral and clearly yeasty aromas, delicate yellow spice, a touch of rock candy, herbal nuances and clear minerality. Ripe, concentrated, quite juicy, bone dry and at the same time somewhat melting fruit with distinctly yeasty, also herbal and bright floral flavours, lively acidity, grip of ripe tannin, lots of chalky minerality on the palate, persistent, dense and deep, just completely undeveloped, good depth, warm and cool elements, very firm construction, almost chewy, very good, juicy, melting and again noticeably yeasty finish. Must mature for a long time
