2018 Hallgarten Hendelberg Riesling trocken "R", Rheingau, Germany

Deep, multi-layered, somewhat herbaceous-vegetable and hinted at yellow-spicy scent with tart aromas of ripe yellow fruits, a hint of capers and floral nuances. Ripe, firm and concentrated, also somewhat melting, juicy fruit, very fine acidity and a lot of grip of crumbly tannin, persistent and dense on the palate, certain warmth, yellow-spicy nuances, enormous minerality, still slightly smoky-hip tones, good depth, multilayered, somewhat sweetish, becomes even tighter with air, very good to long, firm and complex finish with tension. Still needs to mature.
