2014 Spätburgunder trocken Frühenberg, Rheingau, Germany

Prominent spicy oak on the nose, red and a few black berries, earthy and mineral notes, hint of tobacco, spicy and dried floral aromas. Ripe, juicy, polished, partly preserved fruit on the palate, integrated, lightly toasted spicy oak, light acid bite, fine sandy tannins, persistent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, mineral notes in the background, nutty traces, hint of chocolate, good grip, some depth, salty notes, fairly juicy, more spicy oak on a very good finish.
